My daughter had mesenteric adenitis when she was 4, which unfortunately
was mistaken for appendicitis and resulted in an unneccessary
appendectomy. So, I'm not sure that it has anything to do with endo
since she got it that young.
Also, speaking as someone who had a hysterectomy 6 months ago and is now
going back for surgery to clean out endo and adhesions, I can tell you
it doesn't always work. For some women, it does help. But when you are
ready, that's for you to decide. I waited 10 years to get to the point
where I was ready and even then my doctor wouldn't do it until we ran
out of options. I went a good 10 years after my laparoscopic surgery
without the endo returning. It was only after my hysterectomy that I
started having the problem again. Go figure! Constant pelvic pain is no
fun, so I really hope you find a solution that works for you. Good
