I went for the MRI but was unable to get it done because I am extremely short and the only way to get myself elevated up and close enough to the thing you put your breasts in was to put me on my knees. This resulted in an impossibly uncomfortable postion and my head unable to reach the head rest so my head had to be almost upside down! I could grin and bear anything for 5 minutes but not 45 minutes to and hour. The tech said this is a common problem with extremly short women. I spoke with my obgyn who informed me that the radilogy center I went to is one he dose not like. I wish I had known that before hand. I now have an appointment with a breast surgeon in a little over a week. both my Obgyn and Primary doctor said it is not okay to wait 6 months.I am very disturbed by the letter I recieved from the radilogy center stating I could wait 6 months. As after reading the actual report and seeing the films this is not an acceptable option and it concerns me that other women out there could be receiving such bad advice and following it. Thanks mjak
