C-SECTION: c-section

During my c-section, i had a lot of trouble breathing, which i know can happen with the medicine. But, while I was telling the doctor that I couldn't breath, I completely lost my voice, which made me panic. I was kicking the table because I couldn't talk/breath. I thought my legs were supposed to be numb. Is this normal? Was my medication administered incorrectly? It was the most terrifying experience of my life and I'm still emotional about it and would like to know what went wrong. Thank you in advance for any information.
