PREGNANCY: Progesterone levels at 4dpo

I am on my first cycle of 50mg Clomid and had my progesterone level checked at 4dpo, which it was 24.5. I thought they usually waited until 7dpo to test your levels? Is this a normal level? I have read that you cannot predict pregnancy by progesterone levels, but I am just curious as to why my level would be at this number. Thanks!!
