PREGNANCY: Contracting for three days straight. Just have some questions?

I've been having regular contractions around the clock for three days. I'm exhausted and can hardly move. I went to labor and delivery yesterday and I have not dilated; though I am contracting every ten minutes around the clock. Considering I am 34 weeks this is a blessing. The nurses were very abrupt and wouldn't even give me fluid to slow the contractions down. I drink a lot of water every day I am very healthy physically I am okay. I've had preterm labor in the past but the drugs they gave me made me really sick. Since I am not dilating there wouldn't be a point in taking them anyway.

This are the kind of contractions that don't change with movement, laying down, bathing, or sleeping. I've lost my mucus plug, I've been dizzy, and nauseated. My blood pressure is okay and the baby's heart rate is good.

So is it possible that these extremely painful contractions will make me dilate? Is this just typical of someone who is going to go into labor? Is it just plain old pre-labor?

I just feel like I will keep contracting until 40 weeks and then past it. It is as if I will have to be in labor (whether it's false or braxton hicks) for ever.
