Previous message: Ruby: "CONTRACEPTION: Bleeding on the Pill" I'm 8 weeks post hysterectomy and bladder sling. I had a suprapubic catheter for 23 days. After removal, I was given Flomax for 2 weeks. I had a weak urine stream. After the two weeks, the bladder and urethra spasms began. I was given a regular catheter and leg bag to get the bladder and urethra to calm down. After the removal of the catheter, the spasms began immediately. Two days later I could not void but small amounts at a time. I was given an intermittant catheter to be used in the morning and before bedtime and Flomax. My urine output before bedtime is voiding 150cc and draining 200cc. In the morning, I'm voiding 150cc and draining 300-500cc. I get up at least 2 times during the night to go to the bathroom. My urine steam is weak and I have to void about every 1 1/2 hrs. I'm frustrated. The urologist said it takes time. I was wondering if there is anything else that can be done to get my bladder to work properly. Next message: Pam: "GYNECOLOGIC: Very strange period."
