I been taking birth control pill for like 6 months. The 1st month I took Diane 35 but felt very nauseous so switched to yasmin with minimal side effects for 2 months. However after hearing about mercilon which is much cheaper than yasmin I gave it a try on 4th month and big mistake. My face swelled, giddy spells and i developed painful bumps on my ears. I only been on it for like 5 days before I had to give it up. Stopped the pill completely for 2-3 weeks before getting back on yasmin next month. But it seems now that my face would swell no matter what brand of OCP I took. I tried diane 35 again on 6th month when stock ran out for yasmin which they claim is more expensive but cause no water retention but still my face is puffy. Usually doctors would advise the patient to continue on the pill as the water retention will go away in later months.. but in my case what am i supposed to do since its not my first month on it? Im thinking of stopping but can I do that abruptly in the middle of a pack will I damage my health further? Is the puffiness caused by the pill or due to switching to brands of pills has upset my hormones or my health permanently? Im worried please help...
