CONTRACEPTION: IUD and Pregnancy

I have had my IUD (merina) for just over a year. I just recently (dec 5th) had the most odd period and at an odd time for me. I have a set of 15 month old fraternal twins and this seemed to be the best contraceptive for my husband and I. Now this odd period was no more than a few days long. It started as a light pink tinged discharge, think colored snot, Not even enough for a panty liner. It ended up a light brown of old blood, still colored snot type, about four days later. That was the extent of my period this month. I have several pregnancy symptoms still, including morning sickness at random moments throughout the day. Sore breasts, fatigue, I'm also exstreamly emotional. I have had three pregnancies and four live births so I know I'm not dreaming these things. I have taken two hpt's and have had a blood test done. All have come back neg. I had a bladder/kidney infection but have finished all the meds to clear that up. The blood test was done just after this "period" was over. I am just wondering at the accuracy of the blood test and what are the chances that I might be pregnant? I have lost quite a bit of weight since the IUD was put in place, although according to my last annual it is still in place. Which is when the dr decided to do the blood pregnancy test. I did not ask for it myself. I appologise if this question is in the wrong area. I didn't know whether to ask it here or in pregnancy. I would love to hear what you think and thank you in advance.
