Wow, how interesting. It might be associated with a shift in hormones that occurs following your period. Or something to do with tampons or pads. Or some kind of an infection. Also, pay attention to soaps and even laundry detergent, or things you use with laundry such as those air fluff things. If there is a chemical change following your period. But, the thicker discharge really is interesting.

I am not sure what else to suggest to you.
