Re: GYNECOLOGIC: Bacterial Vaginosis with no smell?

Thank you Pat. The area between the inner and outer lips is sometimes
itchy and a bit irritated, which is why I thought it might be yeast at
first. But the discharge is milky and profuse, more at certain times if
the month. I would descibe the consistency as soupy. The main issues
are irritation and amount of discharge with really interferes with my
life. I do not use soap (only water) in that area, and do not douche. I
have started wearing white cotton underwear only, but that also has not
helped. As it is the most irritated the week right after my period
every month, I wonder if I could be allergic to the tampons? I am going
to go without tampons the next cycle and see what happens, but I use
Tampax unscented, so I didn't think this would be a problem. But it
seems as though I am irritated inside sometimes. I forget where I saw a
chart listing the different types of BV...two or three were supposedly a
lot less common and had the same symptoms minus the odor. I will try to
find the link. Do you think it could possibly be an irritation of the
cervix due tampons? It does seem to persist for a bit after my period
though. Thank you!
