I would suggest that in the work up for your pain and blood in the urine that you have the doctor consider the diagnosis of Interstitial Cystitis. You do not mention if there is frequent or painful urination or whether emptying your bladder gives any relief. If so, there may be an inflammatory condition of the bladder known as IC.

If this is not the case, a multidisciplinary pelvic pain clinic sometimes found in universities might be of some help.
