Well, first of, he is prescribing a good treatment for you, BUT, after we are sure there is no pathology in there. It will help the heavy and irregular bleeding, but not necessarily the pain from the adeno.

I think you at least need an office endometrial biopsy to be sure there is no pathology, then Mirena would be acceptable. Good Luck...Dr. von Almen
