ENDOMETRIOSIS: Pain and Tearing With IntercourseFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 23 Aug 2007 12:12:51 -0500 (CDT)
I have endometriosis, and also have pain with intercourse. It hurts when my husband penetrates deep, but I understand the cause behind this and can be careful to avoid it. What I don't understand is why my vagina tears every time I have sex. The tears will be in different parts, but usually where two folds of skin come together. It just rips apart. And it hurts like no body's business for a few days while it heals. I have a problem with lubrication, my body doesn't really make any, so I know that this could be part of the problem. So we use lubrication every time. But even this does not help. I also get these tears when I have wiped too hard, and when I am on my period and wearing tampons. It is difficult to have a sex life, and especially hard because we are trying to conceive, and that is difficult to do when you can only have sex one day a month. Can anyone relate, or maybe know why this is happening? My doctor doesn't really listen to me, she is far too busy trying to get in and out to really hear what I am saying. I had a doctor once tell me, right before I got married, that if I didn't get this problem fixed, my husband would cheat on me and it would be my fault. Can anyone offer any help?
