The way they diagnose Endo is via surgery....laparoscopy. It is the
only definite way to diagnose. Ultrasound will not show endo lesions,
CT Scan will not, nor will MRI's.
So, if you can try taking oral contraceptive pills (OCPs), that may be
one way to go for now.
The good news here is you were able to become pregnant, so you know that
your tubes are pretty clear.
Should you decide to go forward with surgery to diagnose endo, make sure
you see someone that knows about the disease and treats it on a regular
basis. Regular OB/GYNs know about the disease, but can yours treat it
fully? If you visit the Endo Forum on OBGYN.net or go to Yahoo Groups
and register for the ERC Forum (Endometriosis Research Center), you can
get recommendations for Endo Specialsts.
