It is best to wait at least 6 weeks after your surgery before you engage in any type of vaginal penetration.

Sex is perfectly safe after hysterectomy i.e. your cervix and uterus have been removed. After removing your cervix your dr. will create a vaginal cuff so that the end of the vagina is sealed.

You will still need to follow safe sex practices, using a condom, to prevent transmission of sexually transmitted diseases.
