I had a normal period last week. Earlier this week I forgot to take one of my birth control pills. I had spotting yesterday morning. Last night I suddenly got a sharp pain behind my pelvic bone. At first I thought I was getting cramps because of the missed pill but it was unlike any cramps I have ever had. The pain was so severe that I had difficulty sleeping and took a prescription pain pill. I still have the pain this morning and the Adivil I took isn't having any affect on the pain. What would be causing my sudden pain?
