CHRONICPAIN: pelvic painFrom: bm (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 27 Jun 2007 04:54:23 -0500 (CDT)
Hoping for suggestion: mom 62yr old woman has left sided pelvic (lower abdomen) pain on and off. She has had a pelvic ultrasound which was normal, a colonoscopy (removed a small benign polyp). We don't know where to go from here. She now says that it sometimes radiates to groin and or hip area. This started when she started carrying around her 12 month old grandson and climbing more stairs than usual. Any advice on what to explore next? Could this be muscular from carrying the baby? No back pain by the way. No fever, and all routine bloodwork was normal. No urine infection either.
