PREGNANCY: Chronic infections after c-section

I had a c-section back in 2003 and have been suffering with infection after infection since then. It all started 6 weeks after surgery where I noticed a part of my incision opened. It was a very small hole but it was still there. It was draining and at one point drained green. I visited the surgeon also at 6 weeks and she told me it was fine and to clean it daily with hydrogen peroxide. That day I seen her the lights had failed and basically she was giving me an exam with a flashlight.

After that I always had a little bit of drainage at the site where the hole was. Also I do think I experienced a suture spitting as well. About 2005 the infections were getting a bit more painful with swelling, and discharge and only affected that small area that was opened. I seen the doctor over and over again and was put on tons of antibiotics and creams. The atibiotics would help, same with the creams, but after I'd stop them the infection would come back. This went on for the next couple years. It also went to different areas on the scar. I did have cultures done as well and every single one of them came back negative even though it was clear something was going on.

Finally, in July of 2006 the area that was opened before swelled to the size of a baseball. I went the whoe day in pain and finally when I went hoem it literally burst and out oozed everything under the sun. I immediately went to the doctor the next day and he sent me for a cat scan. When I went to the cat scan I was on topical anitbiotics as well as oral antibiotics for at least 4-5 days. I don't know if that affected the results because I was feeling much better plus the cat scan showed nothing.

We can't seem to find what's going on here. I'm thinking it's the sutures maybe not absorbing. The doctor used 0 Vicryl which I can't seem to find any others using 0 Vicryl, I always here of 2-0 Vicryl or 4-0 Vicryl but not 0 Vicryl. Also would it help to see a wound specialist? My doctor has yet to refer me to one. I'm so desperate to find some type of path to go on.
