GENERAL: Endometrial ablation - How soon after do you usually get a period?

I had this done on May 4, along with some other procedures. The vaginal discharge still has not stopped, although I was told it might take up to 4 weeks to stop. I saw my doctor yesterday for postop, and he assured me it was fine and that I just needed to slow down and let myself heal and it might stop. I just wondering how soon after I might have my first period. Today, I have a some cramping and the discharge is much heavier but it is not red like a period.

Just wondering if anyone could tell me how soon after endometrial ablation they got a period and what it was like (heavy, light, long). I have no idea what to expect. Thanks.
