Re: SEXUALTY: painful sex 4 months after third degree tear (first baby)From: Pat Sonnenstuhl (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 24 May 2007 18:22:41 -0500 (CDT)
I think I would either follow up with your OB provider again, or ask for a second opinion. Assuming you tried everything, like lubrication, foreplay, etc, it sounds like something is a bit tight. Perhaps the OB provider did a tight repair. The only way to tell is an exam by someone. If they needed a small speculum at the time of the pap smear, I too would be concerned. Have you tried your own finger exam of your vagina, to see if you feel anything. Is it at the opening, or inside. In any event, after 4 months, things should be okay. So, it sounds like a second opinion of some kind (by someone gentle and caring) is in order. Pat
