I just had a baby 5 months ago. I am 27, 5'6", 141 lbs and relatively healthy. I've been trying to get back to my normal weight of 133lbs and cannot. I've been dieting and exersizing for over a month now. 1400 calories/28g of fat, 30min to 1.5 hours of exersize per day. I have continued to gain weight. I was almost down to my normal weight two months ago (137lbs) and then had the Mirena IUD installed and have continued to gain weight up to 141lbs. I also have been pretty moody, am loosing a lot of hair, and have had no sex drive. All of these things are completely not normal for me. Has anyone else experienced symptoms like these from Mirena's usage? For those Doctors out there, have you seen any symptoms like these from your patients or am I just out of my mind? I am thinking about taking it out and going with the copper IUD which I have been on before, but chose the Mirena to lower my risk of spotting and breakthrough bleeding. Thanks for all of your help!
