Question about options for correcting vaginal prolapse (bladder)From: Aeva (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 2 Sep 2003 13:05:15 -0500 (CDT)
Three years ago I had a complete, emergency hysterectomy when my uterus ruptured during the delivery of my 4th child. Since that time (May, 2000), I have had a total of 5 abdominal surgeries, two which were done to repair my right ureter. Recently, I have noticed changes which seem to indicate my bladder has "dropped" and I have been searching to see what options there are to repair this. I am trying to understand if the only way to repair this problem is through another major surgery or if there is a common, less invasive method my gyn/surgeon could employ. Any information would be appreciated. I am very tired of having my abdomen opened! <smile>
