Shannon,

I can't tell you what your doctor will say but I had a subtotal abdominal hysterectomy last October and my exercise and lifting restrictions were lifted after about 2 months with the advice to take it slow for a while and build up. I have no restrictions on me at all for lifting or exercise now and have not had a problem. Like I said, that is what my doctor told me, you should talk to your doctor to find out what s/he recommends for you. You might want to check out http://www.hystersisters.com, it is a great support site. Good Luck!
