I had a HCG on Monday and it was 34 but my HCG on Wednesday had gone up to 138. I thought HCG levels were only supposed to double every 48 hours. Would this indicate a molar or blighted ovum pregnancy or is this totally incorrect? Should I be concerned that the levels have gone up that quickly. My GP did not seem to be at all concerned? Or is it okay that it has quadrupled in 48 hours, as long as it carries on rising?
