Sever urogenital atrophy*labial adhesions over urethra* finger tip opening to vaginaFrom: Beatrice (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 30 Jul 2003 23:43:41 -0500 (CDT)
I'm a Gravida 2 Para 2 both C/S had a TAH @ age 30 for endometreosis. HRT last 22 yrs. Vaginal atrophy started @40 Usual tx. over next 8 yrs by the same Dr. with continued atropy. Used vaginal dialtor for approx. 2 yrs. Dyspaneuria increased as libito decreased Dr. told me I had exaserbated menapause and nothing else could be done. So @ age 48 my spouse and I ceased to have sexual intercource. I stopped the premarin cream and dialator but continue premarin po. Vaginal opening is now fingertip, labia appears fused covering the urethra. No urinary problems. Is surgery to realease the skin covering the urethra possible? We now live in an area with only two OB/GYN doctors . I work with them at the local hospital and don't feel comfortable disscussing this with them. Please advise on how to f/u on this?
