There are ladies there who've had hysterectomy w/and w/o cervix removal.
If you elect to keep your cervix you must continue to have annual PAP
smears. You will find the above URL a great help to you in making
decisions, in preparing for your hospital visit, coping w/the
pre-surgery "jitters", etc. They are a great group who have been there,
done that of all ages.
