AFTER yeast infection treatmentFrom: jane (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 31 May 2003 02:00:58 -0500 (CDT)
27 year old female, on birth control pill (Diane 35) for 1 yr, no children. There's a lot of info on yeast infection in archives but I didn't see this specific question. It's not a difficult question but as I'm working abroad and my gynecologist speaks limited English, I have a hard time getting full answers. I was treated by her for a yeast infection (I would go in everyday and have some sort of capsule inserted and then have some kind of injection) and it seemed to have worked - itching is gone as well as "cheesy" discharge. Afterwards she also suggested I use Canesten cream for "itch" (I assume - this is where the language barrier causes problems). However, I feel very dry and had a slightly pink discharge the last 2 days. Is this normal after yeast infection treatment? Should I wait a little and see if my system returns to normal? I may have misunderstood how (or how long) I was supposed to use the cream (i used it externally), maybe this is the problem. Is there anything I can do for the dryness?
