Hi Alicia! I was on the patch for a few months and had the same problems. I went to their website for additional info and that is where I had seen that nausea, cramps, etc. was common amoung patch users. As far as you being pregnant, I have no answer for that but I was told that the patch had the same ingredients as the pill so if I went straight from the pill to the patch, no backup was needed. I liked the patch and I believe I felt better when I changed the patch from my stomach area to my back. I also used the Nuvaring. I liked that too but my husband felt it so it switched to the patch. I'm so happy there are new products out there. Good luck!
