Ladycomp VS. Mini pills

I read the Ladycomp (available in Europe and Canada) is 99.4% effective in preventing pregnancy, while mini pills are 98% effective. How common is it for your period to stop, while using mini pills? Isn't it unhealthy for your periods to stop? How common is depression w/mini pills? The Ladycomp seems like good option; all you do is take your temperature (accurate to 1/100th degree) everyday, and the computer tells you if you are fertile. Computer keeps track of your menstrual cycle.
