I agree that it does not seem right, but I think it is the "standard of care". (Always look for cancer if there is abnormal bleeding so you do not get sued later. But I still think you could have insisted on an ultrasound first.) It sounds like you have a hormonal change going on. They do not seem to bother checking women's hormones or maybe do not know how to...maybe they make more money from doing biopsies. Depending on your age, I'd try natural progesterone cream first before using the pill to regulate cycles. It has kept me off the pill.
