It was a medical abortion i.e. done through drugs. I got pregnant again in January and had a medical abortion in March again. However, this time I was 7 weeks when I took the drugs. An ultrasound showed that I have retained products of conception in my uterus. Hence the doctor will be doing a D & C on me in the coming week. I have the following questions - 1. What effect will a D & C have on my fertility ? 2. Will these repeated abortions have an effect on my pregnancy in future ? 3. For how long should I wait before trying to concieve ? 4. Having taken so many drugs for abortion, what effect can it have on my health and my baby's health in future ? 5. How will I know that I am perfectly fine now and as healthy as a woman who has never had any abortions.
