pap smears

I have been with my husband for 4 years. I did have unprotected sex before I met him. I have never, to my knowledge, had any STDs. I have had 3 consecutive normal pap smears in the last 4 yrs. I am wondering if my chances of having an abnormal one are decreasing with each passing year. I heard once that if you have three negative ones you do not need to get them as often, and your chances of having an abnormal pap decreases. I am nervously awaiting results and am driving myself crazy.

Thank you in advance.
