Anon, In my opinion,the 3 or 7 day treatment is preferable to the 1 day, and I think one of the doctors on this forum has said the same thing (check archives). Even if you are away from home (college, vacation???)you should be able to consult your doctor. If you are in in the U.S. you should be able to fill his prescription in any state. If you are at college, you can go to the infirmary. I once had extreme itching with Monistat and my doctor gave me an oral medication instead.
