I was wondering as I think I may end up getting this prescribed to me for my spotting the second half of my cycle that occurs. I already had hysterscopy, D & C, and removal of a small dermoid. everything seems normal but the spotting continues.....doctor suggested oral contraceptives but I always gain weight, get moody, headaches, nausea w/those and my husband has a vasectomy so I don't need birth control anyway. If the progesterone would cause me similar side effects I guess I'll just deal w/the spotting the rest of my life *i'm 27 years of age. Is there any harm from spotting before and after your period w/a 3 to 5 day period? (usually I end up bleeding or spotting for up to 13 days). Thanks....just trying to figure otu what to do .
