burning pain in lower left lumbar after bowel movementFrom: lil (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 31 Oct 2002 08:15:43 -0600 (CST)
After surgery to remove fibroids I began experiencing lower left lumbar pain. The fibroid I had removed was pressing on my descending colon. I was not bowel prepped before surgery. I have a searing burning after bowel movements that radiate to my spine into my tailbone and left buttock. I also have lower left abdomial pain on the opposite side of the pain that is on the back. When I have to move my bowels I have alot of pressure there. After bowel movement it also is a burning searing feeling that also radiates to the back. I also now am having right sided discomfort after bowel movement. It is right under my right rib cage. This past year I also have had constant bladder infections and microscopic blood in my urine. They thought kidney stone but cystoscopy and IVP show negative. I am in constant pain and cannot lie flat on my back or on my left side. Could I have damage to my bowel from surgery, could this be an infection or an abcess or possibly a kidney stone that isn't showing up on xray. I read uric acid stones don't show up. I did have and MRI on my lumbar and showed negative and had a barium enema which was negative. Help I am going nuts and in terrible pain. Thanks
