enlarged aortic lymph nodes and abdominal pain

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from abdominal pain, nausea, and fatigue for the last six months. I've been through abdominal ultrasounds, endoscopys, blood tests, etc. and all have come back normal. My last resort was an abdominal CT Scan, which I had done last week. My gastroenterologist said the results of it were normal - nothing wrong with the spleen, liver, or pancreas. However, he did find that the lymph nodes around my aorta were enlarged - though still in the "normal" range. When asked what could cause that he just said that it has to do with my immune system and kinda brushed it off, reassuring me that I shouldn't be worried cos it's still "normal" - though close to being "abnormal". Honestly, I don't think he knew WHAT it meant. He has no more suggestions as to what could be causing me to be sick other than it could possibly be IBS (tho no typical symptoms), or scar tissue as a result of pyloric stenosis surgery I had 30 years ago (probably unlikely).

I decided to try and find out what causes enlarged lymph nodes in that area, and all I've been able to find is how it relates to cancer. My last pelvic exam was in January and everything came back normal. My question is, are my lymph nodes worth investigating further even though theyre still in a "normal" range? If so, what tests should I have my doctor run? And even more important, how do I convince her to do them without sounding like a hypochondriac? Also, can enlarged aortic nodes be related to something else other than cancer? I have Graves Disease with a benign cold nodule that I'm awaiting to have removed once I can get my stomach situation better.
