Re: Anesthetist ?? Anesthesiologist ?? Before 03 Sep 2002From: Curious (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 31 Aug 2002 20:33:11 -0500 (CDT)
Thank you. At least I know they probably aren't just giving me a snow job about not knowing who would have administered the anesthesia. I called the gastro's answering service and told them to notify the gastro that I was cancelling the colonoscopy and no, I would not be rescheduling. Since she is out of town for the weekend I guess she won't know until Tuesday morning and I feel bad about that but not bad enough to go thru with the anesthesia. Its not like it is a matter of life and death surgery. There are flex sigs and barium series that can be done instead. I haven't slept for beans since I agreed to it. It has been on my mind day and night. I doze off thinking of it, I toss and turn and even pull the fitted bottom sheet off the mattress, I wake up in a sweat thinking about it, always I am fighting them and I can't, I'm powerless and can't stop them. I don't remember ever having a nightmare in my life except when facing anesthesia. Its just not worth what I am going thru just anticipating the anesthesia and being powerless.
