monthly ovulation and a weird sensation

Hi. This might sound strange, but every month within the few days that I am ovulation I feel, well, weird. For migraine sufferers its kind of like the feeling you get right before the visual aura stuff starts. My eyes feel different. Everything sorta feels different. Heightened. Thats it. it lasts about a day or so then goes away. Just a general feeling of oddness. Not really sick, just, well different (gee thats a useless descriptor!) Anyway, my question is does anyone else use the "weirdness feeling" as the way they know they are ovulating? Many months I also have a pain, but this is the most clear predictor for me. I used to assume it was the begining of a progesterone surge, since its almost the EXACT same feeling i got when i first began using progesterone supplementation a few years ago. But recently my gyn said I wasnt making much progesterone. Now I'm not so sure what to attribute it to. any thoughts? thanks!
