I was diagnosed with endometriosis several years ago judging by the symptoms alone and am being treated with daily estroidal and 200 mg of Prometrium to acheive amenhorea and every now and then I do have a period. I have not had a laporascopy as the doctor seems to think I don't need one. The symptoms are almost all gone but I have now heard about the dangers of hormone replacement therapy. Is this considered hormone replacement therapy? Are there safer alternatives? I am really tired of taking the pills and will be 40 in November.
