Please help, I'm so scared...From: Donna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Aug 2002 15:33:26 -0500 (CDT)
I have just recieved a call from my OBGYN's office stating that my unterine biopsy came back showing I have atypical complex hyperplasia. I do not know how severe it is. I will meet with my Dr on Tuesday to discuss it more. I am 33 with 2 amazing children. I was diagnosed with PCOS in '96 and have already tried the fertility treatments to have a 3rd child to no avail. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm done having children. Last Dec. I had a polyp removed from my cervix as well as an endometrial biopsy..which came back as simple hyperplasia. I have been taking provera now for the last 8 months and have had regular but very heavy bleeding every month. To hear this news today was an absolute shock. How could it become so much worse in such a short amount of time while following my treatments?? I have cried so hard today and dread my appt on Tuesday (Sept 3) to go see her. I'm terrified! I want to have control over my options, and have read up on the option of a hysterctomy. I know that this is definately what I'd feel best about having..I just can't go through this any longer. Who in the end makes this decission? Can the Dr. refuse? Please help... Donna
