I need advice on getting off pill - too many problems - please advise ASAP!From: Cindy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Aug 2002 13:17:16 -0500 (CDT)
I wrote earlier about the late pills and starting early period - Now - I have been reading up on pills and finding out it may be affecting me more then I thought. I have been tring to loose weight (I gained 50 pounds with my pregnancy - my son is 11 mths old). I have been on a strict diet and excersize program for almost 3 months and have lost maybie 2 pounds (I have lost inches and clothes feel better). Also, I am always retaining water (found out that could be BCPills). Plus I have been moody. My question is - Can I just stop taking the pills and will I go back to my regular self (I was so regular - you could set your clock by me). I have my yearling GYN appt at the end of October. I would like to stop taking the pill today and maybie see about another form of Birth control in October - and from now till then - get my regular self back. My husband said he did not care we could just use a condom - if I want to stop taking it - then stop. I want to know if it will be better for me - to stop taking the pill and just be NORMAL or is there some kind of benefit to using the pill, that makes up for the retaining water, etc.
