3 year old with vaginal bleedingFrom: Lisa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 13 Aug 2002 07:34:44 -0500 (CDT)
The other morning I was changing my 3 year old and noticed that her underwear were full of a brownish and bright red blood. If I didn't know any better I would have thought she begun menstruating. The bleeding lasted for maybe 2 hours and has stopped. I brought her in that day to see her pediatrician who insisted that it was related to her diagnosis back in February of a prolapsed urethra. However, back in february there was just a little bit of blood in her urine, nothing like the amount of blood she had this time. She also was just examined a week earlier by her urologist who had given her a clean bill of health. Any ideas on what else this could be and the next step I should take. Thank you.
