Usually doctor's don't begin testing until you've been trying for at least one year, and your insurer might not pay for the tests until then. The ability to become pregnant starts to decline after 35 compared to when your 20, but that doesn't mean it's impossible or even very difficult. After 38 there's a more rapid decline, and it falls off further in your 40's. I would get started now if I were you, but if your husband says he's not ready I wouldn't recommend it.
