Siegel, M.D.: "Re: [Birth Control] After taking the depo-vera shot" I started taking the depo shot in November of 2002. I got my last shot in April and I gained a total of 15 pounds in three months. Yes I do smoke but as far as eating outragiously or exercising I dont really do either. Anyway my questions are, how long will it take before I put the weight off, how long will it be before I start back having a period, and should I start the pill right away?
