Question on groin pain?From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 1 Jul 2002 20:06:50 -0500 (CDT)
I have a question concerning groin pain I've been experiencing. At least, I think it's groin pain. The pain is located on my upper inner right thigh. When I was about 8 months pregnant with my oldest son (who is now 13), I was running, and pulled this muscle. It caused me a great deal of pain, but I didn't notice any visible injury. I just felt it when I tried to walk. There have been certain times in the past after this occurance, that I noticed this pain again, but it never hurt as badly those times. Two days ago, I was "rescuing" some little children from the pool (they fell in!!), and I ran and dropped down very quickly, to pull them out. I felt find after that (a little nervous, of course), but didn't feel any pain. Well, this evening, my leg has been hurting badly. It doesn't hurt when I walk, but when I get up, it's awful. It's kind of an uncontrollable pain, like a leg cramp (a "charlie horse"). I am having a difficult time walking, and the stairs are awful. Do you know of any treatment for this problem, or if I should seek medical attention? Do you think it's a pulled groin muscle? Please help!! AMy
