Repost: Questions about hysterectomy/cancer

I’m 36, had 7 normal pregnancies with vaginal deliveries, no health problems except for overweight (about 50 pounds now). Over the last 2 months, my uterus has enlarged to the point that I look 5 months pregnant. I’ve had nausea and dizziness around the start of my period for several months. My periods are heavy (saturating a super plus tampon in an hour), dark purple with many large clots. I’ve always had bad cramps with my periods. I’ve gained 20 pounds in 2 months. I’ve been constipated and having narrow(index finger size) stools for about a week. I saw an ob-gyn last week, and had a PAP(my first in 6 years). She did a CBC, a TSH, and a serum HCG, all were normal. The PAP results haven’t come back yet. I also had an intra-vaginal ultrasound, which showed polycystic ovaries, an enlarged uterus(approx. 11 x 6.5 x 7.5 and 240 gms) with a thick lining. Also something that “might” be fibroids, or adenomyosis. I had an endometrial biopsy today. My doc recommends a hysterectomy ASAP(mostly because of the possibility that this occurred so rapidly), despite the results of the biopsy. She is concerned that there may be other cancer that the biopsy wouldn’t detect. Time off work would be a major financial burden right now, and if the biopsy is negative, it would be more possible in 3 or 4 months . If I have a neg. biopsy, is there really any urgency to have the surgery immediately? Is someone my age with my history really at that great a risk of uterine cancer? What else could be causing these symptoms? And given the size of my uterus on ultrasound, does that account for my abdomen being so large?
