permanent damage?

Hello I have posted here before and appreciate the help. I had a TAH/BSO w/ burch 3 weeks ago today. I still am having problems with my hands from the IV's. This may not seem like a big deal, but how long will this last? Is there any permanente damage? I blew out 5 IV's on one arm and hand and 2 on the other. My right one is the one thats having the most problems. I have corded veins running on the top of my hand and through my fingers. The look like blue rings around my fingers. And my wrist has only limited motion. It is so sore and feels like the skin is too tight. Bruising all over all the way down the forearm. One of the Dr. said it is like a false carpal tunnel syndrome. I use hot towel and Motrin to help but am concerned about the length of time it will go on and if I will any tissue damage from the Phenegran (that burned so badly) that they pushed into my IV many times for the nausea. Can anyone give me advise? Barbara
