[Birth Control] throwing up while on the pillFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netFri, 31 May 2002 11:56:49 -0500 (CDT)
I have been taking orth tricyclen for 10 months. Last Sunday I took the first pill in the pack after the break for my period. About 2 hours later I threw up. On Monday I had sex with my boyfriend twice. I called my doctor to find out if I was still protected but never got a call back, so I called my pharmacy and asked. They told me that the pill is absorbed in 45 min so i was ok and that I did not miss a dose. Is this correct? The next day a nurse from my doctor's office called me back and first told me to stop taking the pill and to take the morning after pill. The when I explained that I had been on birth control for 10 months she said I was fine and to use a back up method for a few weeks. Help, i am very confused. Should I be worried about being pregnant? What should I do?
