Hi Robin: I don't know if it matters what pill you are taking but I have asked this question here before in respect to Diane-35 pill. The answer was that it is safe and since I have spoken to my family doctor about it. He said there was no risk to taking b/c pills continuosly for years without stopping for placebos. As for side effects, I spotted most of the first month that I skipped with breast tenderness and then now in my fourth month without a period I am experiencing a long light period. I have had cramps most days over the last four months but very mild and intermittent. Normally without hormones I would have debilitating cramps from Endometriosis for 2-3 days each month so for me this is just great! Please let me know if you recieve any information that suggests there are risks to this practice. Thanks, Amanda
