I doubt suture remains, unless non-dissolving suture was used, and that isn't likely. An xray can look for a broken needle, but this is doubtful. Has anyone suggested an injection of cortisone/steroid into the area, even if that means going under anesthesia? It is off of the beaten path, but may be worth a try.
